Physicochemical Modeling of Composition of the Organic Matter in Precipitation over the White Sea Islands

T. T. Gorbacheva and S. I. Mazukhina

Carried out is a broadened study of the chemical composition of precipitation obtained by the direct analytic determination using the physicochemical modeling (the Selektor software package) within the framework of the Al–B–Br–Ar–He–Ne–C–Ca–Cl–F–K–Mg–Mn–N–Na–P–S–Si–Sr–Cu–Zn–H–O-e system with the addition of thermodynamic parameters of low-molecular alifatic acids. The results of the modeling enable the supposition that the composition of precipitation can be determined at the metastable state in the case of weak complex formation of metals and dominance of simple salts of low-molecular organic acids (formates and acetates). The analysis of the obtained information indicates the urgency of taking account of the organic matter impact for predicting the migration activity of pollutants and the determination of the critical load on marine ecosystems.
