Disturbances Induced by Gravity Field Inhomogeneities in the Barotropic Ocean

Using the simple analytic model, the linear stationary disturbances of geostrophic flow induced by gravity field inhomogeneities are studied. The analysis demonstrated that the effects of the above inhomogeneities can be significant.
