SNOW COVER PERIOD IN NORTHERN EUROPE

Variations in the snow cover period in Northern Europe (Scandinavia and northern part of the East European Plain) are studied. It is found that the period of snow cover tends to increase against the background of the air temperature rise in the cold period. The area is divided into regions in accordance with the conjugated long-term changes in the period of snow cover and air temperature.
