STUDY OF RADAR CHARACTERISTICS FOR DETECTION OF HAZARDOUS WEATHER ASSOCIATED WITH CUMULONIMBUS CLOUDS

Results are presented of studies of the radar characteristics for detection of hazardous weather (showers, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and squalls) associated with cumulonimbus clouds. The main synoptic situations are considered under which hazardous weather develops. The results of the study for the Ural Kama basin are compared with those obtained by other authors for European Russia.
