This review has been prepared on the basis of results obtained by the system of the total ozone (TO) monitoring over CIS and Baltic countries, which is operated in real time at the Central Aerological Observatory (CAO). The monitoring system uses data of the national M-124 filter ozonemeter network operating under guidance of the Main Geophysical Observatory. The quality of the functioning of the whole system is controlled using TOMS/EP data. The TO data are averaged over each month of the second quarter of 2005 and over the quarter as a whole. In addition, the paper presents results of regular surface ozone observations, performed by CAO in the parkland zone of the city of Moscow since 1991 and characterizing the ozone content in the atmospheric surface layer in the central part of European Russia, and observations that are carried out by the Polar Geophysical Institute of the Kola Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences over the Murmansk region and by the Buryat Scientific Center of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
