OB, YENISEI, AND LENA RUNOFF VARIATIONS AND DYNAMICS OF ATMOSPHERIC CIRCULATION IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE

V. I. Babkin, V. N. Vorob'ev, and N. P. Smirnov

The influence of the Arctic anticyclone on the motion of Atlantic cyclones carrying water to the basins of the largest Siberian rivers Ob, Yenisei, and Lena is studied. It is shown that with intensification of the North Atlantic atmospheric circulation the Arctic circulation always enhances and the water supply to the north of the Asian continent increases, which determines the runoff of the Ob, Yenisei, and Lena rivers.
