MODELING SPACE—TIME VARIATIONS OF PHOSPHORUS IN STRATIFIED RESERVOIRS

Yu. S. Datsenko

A relatively simple scheme describing the interaction of two basic phosphorus forms, organic particulate and dissolved inorganic phosphorus, is used for modeling spatial and temporal phosphorus variations in a typical stratified valley reservoir. A quasi-two-dimensional model of the mass and heat exchange is used for calculating the internal phosphorus flux. The results of model verification from data of summer hydrochemical surveys in the Mozhaisk reservoir in 1984 are presented.
