MODELING OF WATER-HEAT REGIME OF AN ARID ZONE UNDER PRECIPITATION FLUCTUATIONS

A. V. Babkin

The influence of precipitation fluctuations on the heat and moisture reserves in soils of an arid territory and on its water and heat balance is studied by the example of the Caspian lowland and western Kazakhstan. Equations are obtained for calculating the dynamics of basic components of the water and heat balance and for estimating the time lag of their minimum and maximum values relative to the precipitation extremes depending on the fluctuation period.
