EXPERIMENTAL ESTIMATION OF THE EFFECT OF FERTILIZERS AND SOIL TEMPERATURE ON THE ELECTRIC CAPACITY OF A SENSOR—SOIL SYSTEM

Kh. R. Nabiev and I. G. Gringof

Results of laboratory investigations of the effect of different mineral fertilizers and soil temperature on the electric capacity of a sensor—soil system are presented. The experiments were carried out as a part of development of the model of dielectric soil moisture meter. It is shown that the use of working frequency of ~1 MHz as an electromagnetic signal affecting the soil is inexpedient; quantitative estimates of this effect are obtained at a working frequency of 10 MHz.
