Effects of Changes in Meteorological Conditions on the Forest Fire Conditions in Zabaikal’skii Krai

Considered are the long-term variations in the number and area of forest fires in Zabaikal’skii krai. It is demonstrated that they depend considerably on weather conditions. A major factor defining the potential forest fire danger is the atmospheric precipitation. If the precipitation amount decreases, the number of forest fires increases.
