Quality Assessment of Novorossiysk Bora Simulation by the WRF-ARW Model

Considered are the cases of Novorossiysk bora in 2012–2013. Given is the description of this event based on the in situ data. Assessed is the possibility of using the mesoscale nonhydrostatic version of the WRF-ARW model for predicting Novorossiysk bora. Detailed estimates of the results of the modeling are carried out using the large volume of the in situ data. Substantiated is the selection of the optimum model configuration for the numerical simulation of Novorossiysk bora.
