Universal Method of Allocation of the Black Sea Cold Intermediate Waters

The principles of a universal technique of the Black Sea cold intermediate waters (CIW) allocation and calculation of alternative CIW borders as surfaces of the maximum temperature variability are developed. It is shown that the proposed methods provide the maximum approximation of CIW to real cold intermediate waters. The necessity of essential corrections of the CIW characteristics located between conditional borders (isothermal and isopicnical surfaces) is proved.
