Using the regional Eta model for forecasting tropical cyclone tracks from data of the Hydrometeorological Research Center of Russia

Results are presented of the forecast of tropical cyclone tracks using a high-resolution regional atmospheric model full parameterization of physical processes (Eta model) from global data of the Hydrometeorological Research Center of Russia. The predicted tracks are computed for seven tropical cyclones in the west Pacific in May to July 2002. The forecast verification is presented.
