COULOMB-TYPE ALGORITHM FOR A CHOICE OF INFLUENCING STATIONS

A two-dimensional version of a new method for a choice of “influencing” stations for a subsequent optimal interpolation of meteorological fields is described. The method can be of practical use in other interpolation problems.
