ELEMENT COMPOSITION AND SEASONAL VARIABILITY OF AEROSOL CONCENTRATION IN THE SIKHOTE-ALIN BIOSPHERIC RESERVE

I. I. Kondrat'ev

The paper presents the results of investigations of the element composition of atmospheric aerosol in the background region of the Maritime. Twelve macro-and microelements were analyzed in the aerosol samples which were continuously over the years 1986–1989. Seasonal variability of aerosol concentrations in the atmosphere of the Sikhote-Alin biospheric reserve and in its buffer zone is determined. Two maximums and two annual minimums of aerosol concentrations over the observation period were noted. Statistical analysis of the data on the element composition of atmospheric pollutants and meteorological variables has shown that the aerosol content in the study region, depends on snow cover extent, wind speed, and precipitation total. It was also found that the effect of meteorological conditions, aerosol concentrations m the atmosphere in cold and warm seasons is different.
