PREDICTION OF POSSIBLE FLOOD DAMAGE (MOSCOW REGION AS AN EXAMPLE)

An approximate method of the estimation and prediction of flood damage is proposed. The input data are the population density in the region and the probability of a predicted level at a gauging station. Calculations were made for the Moscow region using data from 29 regions.
